The Origin
What We Know So Far
Before the motel room, Dave was a DJ in Portland working for 8 Ball Willie. By most people's standards, he was "successful" — his own place, paying bills, building a name in nightlife.
But the music tells a different story.
Dave entered Narcotics Anonymous trying to clean up his life and walk away from Portland. The problem was… Willie didn't like that.
When Dave disappeared into the motel room, the chaos started. The voices. The paranoia. The second-guessing. Alone in that room, Dave began writing music that exposed everything he was trying to escape.
Songs like 12 Steps, Look Back At It, and Ego piece the story together little by little.
Nobody knows if the motel saved Dave…
or destroyed him.
